2026 AI and Semiconductors Summer Institute

Hosted by the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University and sponsored by Intel®

This 5-day, in-person summer institute is designed for Arizona high school STEM educators interested in understanding how artificial intelligence is powered, from algorithms and software to hardware and semiconductor fabrication. Learn how to connect students to the booming careers in microelectronics and semiconductors in Arizona.

Led by ASU faculty and industry professionals, participants will explore the AI ecosystem through interactive discussions, hands-on coding, lab tours, and immersive experiences that connect theory to real-world applications. Participants will also receive a professional stipend upon successful completion. No prior semiconductor or AI experience is required.

ASSET Cybersecurity Training | 9:00 am - 3:00 pm | FREE

Grand Canyon University's Center for Cyber Excellence - Phoenix, AZ

Join us for a hands-on Cybersecurity C5ISR Technology workshop designed for 4th-12th-grade educators. Explore practical cyber concepts, real tools, and classroom-ready activities that help students teach students how to stay safe in a digital world. Includes lunch, workshop materials, and a 5-hour PD certificate. Educators will also receive materials to recreate the lesson in their classroom. Register to Participate

EdCon 26 | Reno, NV

CYBER.ORG EdCon 26 is a national conference designed to inspire and empower novice and expert K-12 cybersecurity educators alike. Attendees will gain practical, ready-to-use lessons developed by CYBER.ORG curriculum experts, explore free, high-quality resources from industry leaders, and hear directly from other K–12 educators who are actively teaching both foundational and advanced cybersecurity and AI concepts.

Receive a grant to help with the cost of your travel to EdCon 26! CYBER.ORG has a limited number of $750 travel reimbursement grants available for eligible K-12 educators. Recipients of travel reimbursement grants will be able to use the funds to seek reimbursement for up to $750 of registration, airfare, and/or lodging at the official conference hotel. Applications will remain open until all have been awarded.

EdCon 2026 is in Reno, Nevada. Register by May 9th.

Anytime Learning Opportunities

The Pathfinders Summer Institute is a signature professional development program for K-12 public school teachers in computer science and maker education that is hosted by the Foundation in collaboration with leading curriculum providers.   • Professional Learning Series (PLS) webinars are designed to support K–12 educators with meaningful and relevant computer science professional development. Through PLS events, educators have the opportunity to explore computer science and education-related topics.

  • Online professional development (PD) courses provide a flexible, deep learning experience that you can complete at your own pace. Course content includes meaningful and interactive activities focused on application to your CS classroom — you’ll do a lot more than just read and watch. Plus, you will experience asynchronous collaboration with other CS educators as you both give and get feedback and exchange ideas.
  • Discover accredited professional development (PD) programs and associated curricula for K-12 CS teachers.
